Again another close finish to last nights quiz, but this time it was the turn of Los Amigos to come out on top, the results were as follows, in first with 67 points Los Amigos, one point behind with 66 points came The Know nots and three points behind them with 63 points were Fandngo.
The league has started the 2012 season with some very close matches, so long may it continue.

A tie breaker question decided the outcome of last nights quiz, with Blankety Blanks coming closer to the answer than Los Amigos.
Results of last nights quiz was as follows in first place with 59 points Blankety Blanks, in second after losing the tie breaker were Los Amigos also on 59 points, just one point behind with 58 points came The Know Knots.
For the 2012 season we have decided to give each team a handicap, the handicap for each team depended on the points they ended up behind the champions last season, so for example if you finished 50 points adrift of the champions you now start the new season with that amount of points, if you were 200 points behind you now start with 200 points, which in theory should mean that all teams should be very close at the end of the season, but we all know that won't happen, so good luck to all teams.

Not a good night for all our quiz teams, they all fell for the quizmasters trap question and lost all points scored on the Win or Bust section, everybody went for Petula Clarke instead of the cover version done by Emma Bunton, so I think thats one up to me.
Never the less it did not stop last years champions running away with first prize with a total of 51 points, in second place were Blankety Blanks with 47 points and in third place on 44 points came Peanuts.

Welcome to the start of a brand new season for the Rhuddlan Golf quiz goers, and we have changed the format this year and brought in an handicap system to give every team a fair chance to pick up the trophy at the end of the year.
The first match of 2012 saw familiar faces in the final placings, but it was a tight finish with Los Amigos beating last years champions Fandango talking the spoils after a tie break question, both teams scoring 64 points and in third place on 60 points were Scrambled Eggheads.
